Michael Small, counsellor and registered member of BACP

I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

Working in private practice and in different agencies, I have supported a diverse range of clients and their issues, including anxiety, depression, gender identity, self-esteem, bereavement, abuse, anger, and cultural and family issues.

I strongly believe in my clients’ abilities to be self-guiding.

I qualified as a counsellor following several years in a range of companies.  In those environments I discovered how, through a relationship based on valuing, trusting and empowering, people could meet their own personal needs for growth.

Now, alongside my own counselling private practice, I also support clients through voluntary organisations, including a specialist bereavement counselling service.
